Ultra-flexible electronics

We are conducting research on fabirication very thin (less than 5um) electronic devices that can be attached to the human body. By introducing the s-NIL process, organic/inorganic layers as well as ultra-thin substrate nanostructures can be introduced to maximize the light absorption characteristics in OPVs. In particular, ultra-thin substrates with nanostructures can be fabricated by not only the vacuum process but also the spin coating process.

Nanostructure embedded ultra-thin OPVs
Nanostructure embedded ultra-thin substrate: Parylene (by CVD process)
Nanostructure embedded ultra-thin substrate: PVA/SU8 (by spin coating process)
Ultra-thin substrate with Ag transparent electrode: CYTOP (by spin coating process)
Ultra-thin substrate/IZTO transparent electrode with nanopatterned structure
: Reduced light incident angle dependence and mechanical stability
Self-powered ultra-thin biosensors integrated with OPVs and OECTs
